Optical guidance
Flexible navigation with camera and colour tape. A high-contrast line or QR codes on the floor serve as an optical guide for AGVs. Low installation costs, ideal for stable layouts – with a higher reading distance than magnetic tapes.
Free navigation (SLAM)
Modern navigation without physical tracks: AGVs use laser scanners and triangulation to detect their surroundings autonomously. This method is highly flexible and software-controlled, making it ideal for dynamic processes, though it involves greater technical complexity.
